This book is interesting and mysterious. It's mainly about a girl who has to prepare a mountain bike trail for a teenager competition. As shes trying to do it, she finds a huge tree in the middle of the trail. She did not expect to see this, but it was there. She wonders how it possibly got there. With the help of her friends she finds clues that someone has cut the tree. She finds a bandana and a PB&J sandwich. She also sees someone watching them as they observe the tree. She starts to chase the shadow but the shadow disapeared behind a big rock.
